The family of Erik John Sorquist, age 43, will host a celebration of life on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at the Eagles Lodge on 14th street in Decatur. The doors will open at 6 p.m. with Reverend Jamie Tyler officiating and Shannon Woods and Michael French assisting.
The bands that Mr. Sorquist was associated with were Shamam, Little Rebel, and Bad Karma. Friends from Austin High School and former bandmates are invited to gather for sharing stories and photos as well as playing music and karaoke.
Finger foods will be served and beverages will be available.
Mr. Sorquist, who passed away of an apparent heart attack at his residence on Jan. 14, 2018, was cremated with Shelton Funeral Home handling the arrangements.
