Family and friends will pay their respects and tribute Sunday, January 19, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home to a fallen soldier, , King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. A two tour Army veteran of Afghanistan and proud American, Eric was taken suddenly at the age of 32 on a California Highway.
This beloved young man leaves behind his loving mother, Alice Harrington Nichols (PA) and maternal grandmother, Alice Richeson Harrington, formerly of Newburg, AL and maternal great grand parents Charles and Alice Richeson. Eric was predeceased by his father, Prince Nichols (PA). Eric was blessed with aunts, uncles and cousins from Pennsylvania, Ohio, Alabama, Arkansas, New Mexico and California and friends from around the nation.
Eric’s dreams of higher learning were cut short due to a tragic accident. After so many close calls in Afghanistan, he returned home and headed west to pursue his degree in the sciences. He was getting closer to his most loved place, Hawaii. Stationed there while in the Army, he always had a burning desire to return and hopefully spend his life working and playing on those tropical beaches. On this journey of life his dream was cut short.
Taken too soon, dreams not yet fulfilled, he will be missed and long remembered in our lives. God bless and be with him.
Family will receive friends from 12:00-1PM, with service led by the Rev. David Lee at 1PM.
