Emogene “Jean” Gorman White – Obituary

geneEmogene “Jean” Gorman White, 85, of Tishomingo, Mississippi, died April 7, 2015, at her residence. She was a member of Tishomingo United Methodist Church. She was also a former member of the Red Cross, and was the owner of White’s Café in Tishomingo for many years. She enjoyed gospel music, sewing, and cooking. Visitation is scheduled for 12:30 PM until 2:30 PM on Thursday, April 9 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for graveside at 3 PM on Thursday, April 9, 2015, officiated by family and friends. Interment will follow in New Lebanon Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jason Borden, Shannon Edmondson, Michael Wallace, Buddy Hall, Robert Isbell, and Tom Wiggington. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. She is survived by 2 daughters – Barbara Borden of Cherokee, AL and Brenda Edmondson of Dennis, MS; 1 sister – Janet Wiggington (Tom) of Booneville, MS ; 3 grandchildren – Shannon Edmondson, Jamie Wallace, and Jason Borden; and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Lydia Gorman; her husband, Bob “Avis” White; and her brother, Robert Gorman. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Lebanon Cemetery Fund.
