Emmett G. McClellan Jr., 78, of Huntsville, AL, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022.

He was born in Jacksonville, FL in September 1944, the third of four boys. As a schoolboy he was a member of the Ground Observer Core in Jacksonville. He joined the United States Air Force in 1962 and served until his retirement in 1984. While in the Air Force he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. From 1984 to the time of his passing he worked in the Aerospace and Defense industries in Huntsville, AL.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Deborah Kay Wilson McClellan; three children, Kimberly Nall Richmond (Ed), Emmett McClellan III (Tina), and Sarah Gregory (Josh); twelve grandchildren, Dr. John Nall (Dr. Annsley), Joseph Nall (Kate), Justin Nall, Josh Howell, Mayte Warner (Blake), Ryan Brooks, Nora McClellan, Jeremiah McClellan, Ashlyn Gregory, Riley Gregory, Aliyah Gregory, and Mae Gregory; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Douglas McClellan (Kris); several nieces and nephews; and many many more in-laws.

In addition to being a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he was also a faithful servant of the Lord from his baptism in 1957 to present. He and his wife are members of Mayfair Church of Christ in Huntsville, AL. He was a man of God, country, and family, and would want everyone who knew him to take comfort in knowing he is now truly at home, with the Lord.
