Emma Mae Huffer, age 85, of Belvidere passed away peacefully at her home on April 7, 2022. Emma was born on November 19, 1936, in North, South Carolina to the late Hampton Callhan and Lila Mae Goodwin (Callhan). Mrs. Huffer and her husband, Don owned and managed several restaurants including Druthers Restaurant in Winchester. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, picking, and shelling pecans and traveling to the beach. On rainy days you could find her watching the Price Is Right and sewing. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Don Huffer; son, Paul Huffer; grandson, Jerome Armstrong and siblings, Margaret Brigman and Hampton “Rock” Callahan. Ms. Huffer is survived by her children, Donald Wayne (Cathy) Huffer, Stephen Michael Huffer, Terri Lynne (Mike) Lewter; grandchildren, Eva Ervin, Natalie Williams, Sean Huffer, April (Rodigo) Colpas, Barbara Huffer, Brian (Crystal) Wilson, Wade (Martina) Wilson, Courtney Gipson, Hunter Lewter, Bayli Shivley and Rachael Shafter; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Kirby and Jean Callahan; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Becky Campbell, and special friend and caregiver, Maebelle. Visitation for Mrs. Huffer will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022, from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022, at 1:00pm from the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
