Emma Grace Howard, 19, tragically passed away on March 23, 2025, in Russell County, Alabama.

Emma was born on December 19, 2005, in Huntsville, Alabama to parents, Jason and Christine Howard. Emma grew up in Huntsville and attended Farley Elementary, Challenger Middle and graduated with Honors from Grissom High in 2024. Emma was currently attending Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama as a Business Major while being on the soccer team and recently joining the lacrosse team. She embraced her new role as a college student by making new friends, learning a new sport, making the Dean’s List and joining the sorority Alpha Omicron Pi. Emma loved all sports, music, animals, elderly people, adventure, all bodies of water, her jeep, friends and most of all, her family.

She is preceded in death by her great grandma, Loretta Howard; great mamaw, Imogene Averitt; great grandfather, Robert Vandel; granny, Barbara Sumner; papaw, Kirk Howard; great aunt, Beth Price; and 2nd cousin, Marc Price.

She is survived by her parents, Christine and Jason Howard; brothers, Thad Ward and Noah Howard (Sofia); grandparents, Patricia and Don Godsey; great uncle, Victor Howard and great aunt, Mary Howard; uncles, Jeremy Bromley and Luke Howard; aunts, Rhiannon Howard, Tanya Leblanc (Chris), Paula Hall, and Amanda Petty; and many cousins.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on March 29, 2025, from 1:30pm – 3:00pm followed by a Celebration of Life for Emma at Farley Community Church, 12302 Bell Road SW, Huntsville, Alabama 35803.

Flowers can be sent to Farley Church from 8:00am – 4:00pm on March 27, 8:00am – 12:00pm on March 28, or 7:00am – 1:00pm on March 29.
