Emma Azalee Dutton, age 76, of Double Springs, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at her residence. She was born February 3, 1949, in Double Springs, Alabama, to David Anderson Ward and Emma Ward. Emma attended Union Grove Baptist Church in Double Springs. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where a funeral service will follow beginning at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be at Kelly Mill Cemetery in Double Springs. Brother Mickey Millican and Brother T. J. Millican will officiate. Emma is survived by her daughters, Tammy (John) Lynn, Lisa (George-Butch) Curtis, Cynthia (Steve) Hamilton; grandchildren, Heather (Kyle) Miller, Ryan Curtis, Riley Curtis, Bryant (Keisha) Lynn, Nick Parrish, Brittney (Eric) Smith, Jessie (Savanna) Redd; great-grandchildren, Tig Miller, Avery Redd, Tanner Easterwood, Tennie Easterwood, Brooklyn Smith, Adalynn Smith, Levi Smith; brother, Arthur Ward; sister-in-law, Barbra Atkins; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Dutton; parents, David Anderson Ward and Emma K. Ward; brothers, Wilburn Ward, Simon Ward, Frank Ward, Lacy Ward; and sisters, Ola Faye White, Winnie Jo Lloyd, and Lavern Ledbetter.
