Mrs. Emily Jo Bowman age 66 of Arab, Alabama, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. Bowman was born on June 5, 1955 in Marshall County, AL to Emily Foylea Wilks McElroy and the late William H. McElroy. She was a 1973 graduate of Arab High School. Her greatest loves and most prize possessions were her dogs “her babies”. Listening to Elvis music would always make her smile. She enjoyed watching scary movies and laughing at the scary parts. Her dream was to become a cosmetologist, she loved styling hair and doing nails. She really loved writing letters, journals and even essays. She liked coloring in adult coloring books. She spent a lot of time crocheting afghans, baby hats and booties. Nothing made her happier than watching her shows on TV. She adored flowers and liked planting them in her yard. Jo loved gadgets, anything ‘as seen on TV” she had to have it. Most of all she enjoyed sitting at home with a big glass of sweet tea talking with friends and family.
