Funeral services with social distancing as required by the CDC and State of Tennessee for Emily Diane Gordon, age 40 , will be held on Thursday June 11, 2020 at 11 am in the Salem Baptist Church near Trenton, TN with Rev. Joel Pigg officiating. Graveside committal will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday June 10, 2020 from 5 until 8 PM at Salem Baptist Church.
Ms. Gordon, a social worker for the State of Tennessee Department of Human Services and member Salem Baptist Church, passed away on Sunday at Jackson-Madison Co. General Hospital in Jackson, TN.
Ms. Gordon, a graduate of Peabody High School and Union University, also played piano at Salem Baptist Church and at other churches in the area.
Ms. Gordon was preceded in death by: ; grandparents Jack and Lettie McClure and Albert and Lillian Crossnoe.
Ms. Gordon is survived by : a son Caleb Gordon of Trenton, TN; her parents Billy Gene and Peggy Parks of Trenton, TN; her ex-husband Michael Gordon; three aunts Connie and husband Richard Clanton of Trenton, TN, Brenda and husband Charlie Burress of Trenton, TN, and Rebecca McClure of Humboldt, TN; and six first cousins.
