Funeral services for Emilio Mendez, 33 of Fairview, will be held at a later date, by family, in his home country of Guatemala.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Mendez was born August 17, 1979 to parents Rufino and Cornelia Chalel Mendez.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mother; his wife, Maria Adelia Tojil Mendez; children, Dany Rolando Martin Tojil, Lesly Anabelly Martin Tojil, Shely Nayely Martin Tojil; siblings, Fransisco Martin Mendez, Noe Martial Martin Mendez, Ancelmo Escobar Martin Mendez, Margarita Martin Mendez, Rosa Martin Mendez; and a host of family and friends in America and Guatemala.
He will have a visitation Saturday, April 6, from 6-9 at the funeral home.
