Emabel "Emme" Nichol Anderson “Emme” (Nichol) Anderson, 89, passed away on February 22, 2026, in Tupelo, Mississippi.  Emme was born to Ralph and Mildred (Wells) Nichol on January 9, 1937, in South Mahoning Township, Marion Center, Pennsylvania.

Emme graduated from Marion Center High School in 1954 and shortly after went to Kansas
City for ticket agent and flight attendant school.  She started her career with Northeast Airlines in New York City.  Emme enjoyed working at travel agencies in New Jersey, Florida and Roanoke, Virginia but her real passion was real estate.  Emme loved finding a family their new home and then telling them how to decorate and renovate it!

During her life Emme moved at least 28 times living in PA, MO, NY, NJ, FL, VA, NC, GA, & MS. She was a lifetime member of the Presbyterian Church wherever she lived and sang in the church choir until 2022.  Emme was a wonderful soloist singing at weddings and funerals for many family and friends.  She also enjoyed travelling especially to Europe, the Caribbean and Alaska.

Emme was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 45 years, Fred Anderson; her brothers Beryl Nichol (Inez), Warren Nichol (Doris), Bob Nichol (Dawn) and Bill Nichol; her sisters Peg Baker (Delbert), and Marian Rusnak (Rich).

She is survived by her two daughters, Kristen Taylor (Jason) of Charlotte, NC and Beth Anderson of Pontotoc, MS; granddaughter Emily Clowers (Hollan) of Pontotoc, MS and grandson Axel Sutherland of Minneapolis, MN; two sisters, Grace Himes of Rochester Mills, PA and Jean Fleming of McMurray, PA, and a sister-in-law Lily Nichol of State College, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
