Elvis Leon McMurray of Huntsville, AL passed away peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior on October 31, 2021.
Pastor Leon was a part of the Lord’s ministry at The Dwelling Place in Florence, AL. He was also a part of the praise and worship team. He worked at S, J, and L. He was proud to have been in the Alabama National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Lee Linder McMurray; sisters, Shirley Hampton of Stevenson, AL, and Shielda Johnston (Denford) of Hollywood, AL; brothers, Don McMurray (Rhonda) of Flat Rock, AL, and Johnny McMurray (Sheri) of Chattanooga, TN; two step-children, Chad Cooley of Huntsville, AL and Christy Brown (Wesley) of Summerville, GA, three daughters, Misty McMurray of TN, Kimberly McMurray of Scottsboro, AL and Nicole McMurray of Scottsboro, AL; grandchildren, Breanna Brown, Brody Brown, Brinlee Brown, Chloe Fischer (Tyler), Hyland Cooley, Makala McMurray, Austin Morgan, Ryland Purdy, and Phoenix Livesay; four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by George McMurray, Bertha (McMurray) Summers and step-dad Willison Summers.
Visitation will be Friday, November 5th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM with a service on Saturday November 6th at 11:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home. Pastors Mark Linder and Joe Rublin will be officiating.
At the request of the family, all attendees please wear a mask at the visitation and service.
