Elvia Lou Clouse, 90, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015, at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility. She was born June 1, 1925, to Paul and Letha Burcham Brown. She was a life-long member of Fawn Grove Freewill Baptist Church. She retired from the manufacturing industry and was a homemaker. She enjoyed working in her yard, gardening, and sewing. She loved her grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, at the Fawn Grove Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Terry Booker and Bro. J.V. Mills officiating. Burial will be in the Fawn Grove Cemetery. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Mantachie is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby Joe Clouse (Dianne) of Mantachie and James Russell Clouse (Janie Gale) of Booneville; one daughter, Janette Palmer (Robert) of Baldwyn; one brother, Dalton Dee Brown (Pam) of Mantachie; one sister, Cora Phene Cooley of Mantachie; six grandchildren, Craig Clouse, Scott Clouse, Marcia Garrett, Hilary Hamblin, Lacey Conaway, and Abigail Moss; and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bollie Clouse, who died in 1991; her parents; four brothers, Kenyon, Ray, Lester, and Jay Brown; and two sisters, Mae Patrick and Sue Lamb.
Pallbearers will be Charles Brown, David Brown, Thomas Brown, Roger Brown, Eugene Patrick, and Larry Adams.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, at the funeral home. The body will lie in state from 2 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
