Elva Eloise “Lois” Jackson, 93, of Huntsville, AL, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, in Decatur, AL. Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Lamar Jackson.
She is survived by her daughter Linda (Bob) Doherty; son Roger (Debbie) Jackson; grandchildren, Kim Powell, Steven (Amy) Jackson, Jennifer Jackson, Whitney (Jay) Reynolds, Rob (Lisa) Doherty, Jim (Monica) Doherty; nine great grandchildren, Zachary (Sophie) Gillette, Caden Jackson, Joanna Jackson, Shelley Bishop, Wilson Bishop, Morgan Doherty, Patrick Doherty, William Doherty and Thomas Doherty; and one great-great-grandchild, James McNally (Mac) Gillette.
Graveside service will be Friday at 12:00 p.m. at Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden. The family will receive friends an hour before the service. In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to Southern Care New Beacon Hospice; 1620 Somerville Rd, Suite 4; Decatur, AL 35601. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
