Elsie Mae Baskins, 94, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. with David Rushlow officiating. The burial will follow in Rhodesville Methodist Cemetery.
She was a native of Florence, Alabama and was a member of Macedonia Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Baskins, parents, Minnie Williams Arnold and Mack Arnold, brothers, Buford Arnold, Willard Arnold, Herschel Arnold, and Carl Arnold, sisters, Kathleen Crowden, Dorothy Robinson, and Mary Willis, grandson, Michael Shane Baskins, and daughter-in-law, Carolyn Sue Baskins.
Survivors include sons, Harold Baskins (Linda) and Roy Baskins (Sandra), all of Florence; daughters, Irene Murphy (Kenneth), Florence, Glenda Holden (Richard), Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Van Baskins, Richmond, Virginia, Janet Chorney, Killen, Alabama, Erick Murphy, Nashville, Tennessee, and Jason Baskins, Waterloo, Andrea Evers, Senoia, Georgia, Justin Baskins, Nashville, Tennessee, Emily Dodd, Madison, Alabama, and Jordan Baskins, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Chorney, Jacob Chorney, Annaston Evers, Caroline Dodd, Murphy Dodd, and Declan Murphy.
Pallbearers include Van Baskins, Erick Murphy, Jason Baskins, Justin Baskins, Jordan Baskins, Nicholas Chorney, Jacob Chorney, and Kevin Dodd.
