Elsie Christine Sharpe, age 78 of White House passed away Saturday, August 1, 2026 at her home. She was born March 27, 1948 in Zion, Illinois to Charles Harry & Mary Lamb Christine Pyle York. She worked as a CPA for 31W Insulation and was a member of Portland Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed looking for shells on the beach, bird watching, crocheting, doing cross stitch, lighthouses and she was good at numbers. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Sandra Mulley and Sharon Beck. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Ed Sharpe, White House, TN; son, William Edwin (Michelle) Sharpe, Jr., Mansfield, TX; daughters, Elaine (Stephen) Chamberlain and Janet (Chad) Pulley, both of Westmoreland, TN and Janet Pulley, Portland, TN; brother, Charles Henry York, Jr., Cottontown, TN; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. There is a memorial service being planned and this obituary will be updated when those arrangements are finalized.
