Mrs. Eloise Chapin McDonald, 94, she would have been 95 April 30th, of Florence, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Florence Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 11 a.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Rev. Greg Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. McDonald was preceded in death by her husbands, Henry N. Chapin and W.E. McDonald; parents, James and Velma Cagle.
She is survived by her daughters, Sarah Frances Phillips (Steve), Elizabeth Anne “Libby” Pitts (Freddie); grandchildren, Sherry Phillips, Kimberly Garner (David), Stephen Phillips (Toni), Courtney Smith, Mark Pitts (Ashley); great-grandchildren, Jacob Morrow, Jaden Smith, Reagan and McKinley Phillips.
Active pallbearers will be Stephen Phillips, Mark Pitts, David Garner, Tim Morrow, Steve Phillips, and Freddie Pitts. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Morrow and Jaden Smith.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses at Florence Nursing and Rehab, her caregivers at home, especially Nadine Hall.
