Mr. Elmore “Tet” Alexander, 86, of Moulton, AL, died peacefully on June 27, 2014 in the NHC Healthcare Center, Moulton, AL, surrounded by family and friends. Mr. Alexander was born March 5, 1928 in Moulton, AL, to the late Luther and Elizabeth, “Lizzie” Alexander. Mr. Alexander, a veteran of World War II, srved in the US Navy in Charlestown, RI with his twin and nephew. He was employed as a chef and maintenance worker until he was honorably discharged. He joined Smith Chapel CME Church at an early age, and was a faithful member until his death. He became the surrogate father to many of his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in death by six sisters: Mrs. Mattie Moss, Mrs. Edeczene Yarbrough, Mrs. June Arrington, Mrs. Mafalda Alexander, Mrs. Sadie Fields and Ms. Electa Alexander and six brthers: Simpson, Malcom, Wert, Edsel, Yalander and his twin Elmer Alexander. And a special nephew; Connis Hubbard.
During his lifetime Mr. Alexander lived in RI and several other states including Dayton, OH before returning home to Moulton, AL in the 1970’s where his loving nieces; Ava Jackson and Jeanette Kitchen cared for him for the past twenty years.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters; Sharon E. Alexander and Sherleen A. Rose (Ed), both of Charlestown, RI. Six grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren, one sister; Mrs. Minnie Jones of Cleveland, OH, three special nieces; Ava Jackson, Jeanette Kitchen and Jacqueline Alexander, one special nephew Sean Hollie, two special friends; Kellie Sanders and Leroy Sanford, a devoted caregiver; Nathan Taylor and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relavives
