Mr. Elmer G. “Nooner” Martin, Jr. 86, of Florence, passed away on March 05, 2016 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He retired from National Linen and Sears. He was a life-long member of Central Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and a senior adult Sunday school officer.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 7, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 1:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Tommy Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer G. Martin Sr., and Myrtle Stults Martin and two brothers, A.W. Martin and Robert Martin.
Survivors include his wife, Jerri Burgess Martin; daughter, Dawn Martin Burnham, son-in-law, Kenneth Burnham and four grandchildren, Jacob, Jared, Joshua and Lydia Burnham.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church.
