Graveside Funeral service for Elmer (Cotton) Blackwood, 94, will be Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Salem Methodist Cemetery with Bro. Harold Thompson, officiating and Jerry Bloodworth providing the eulogy and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Blackwood died on Monday, January 11, 2016 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born January 10, 1922, in Morgan County to John Henry Blackwood and Fannie Lou Price Blackwood.
Mr. Blackwood, “Cotton”, was the Owner/Operator of Delta Motors for a number of years. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Lynn Blackwood, Hartselle, AL

Hoover Blackwood, Decatur, AL
One Sister:
Lois Walker, Hartselle, AL
Four Grandchildren
Eight Great Grandchildren

Sending prayers. My dad,John Wayne Blackwoods dad was also John Henry Blackwood. (His mother was Alice Pearl Harp Blackwood). So they were half brothers. I would love to know about my dads brothers, sisters, dad etc.
