Ellen Haual-Julino lost her valiant struggle with cancer on March 26th. Born in Chicago, Illinois, she grew up at the Wakantepe Resort in Lake Tomahawk, Wisconsin. She was in the last graduating class of the K-12 Rainbow School in 1967 and then attended Lakeland Union High School where she graduated in 1971. After graduation, she moved to River Falls, Wisconsin where she studied Geology and Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin River Falls. Later, she moved to Riverside, California where she obtained an associate’s degree in Data Processing and began working for the City of Riverside.

After a return to Wisconsin in 1978, she moved to Huntsville, Alabama where she married Paul Julino in 1980. She had a brilliant career in MRP in the Aerospace Industry. Ellen had a lifelong passion for Literacy and dedicated her evenings for many years teaching English as a Second Language and Adult Literacy at the Adult Learning Center in Huntsville. She was very proud of the hundreds of students she taught to speak English and many adult students who learned to read. Many of her students became her lifelong friends.

Ellen is survived by her husband, Paul Julino; her adopted son, Evrard Ngantio; her godson, Bobby Brown; and many lifelong friends and co-workers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Her ashes will be spread at Wilderness Rest Cemetery in Lake Tomahawk, Wisconsin.
