Ella Jean Moore, 86, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at the Hospitality House in Iuka. Ella Jean grew up attending Snowdown Methodist Church and was an active member all throughout her life. For several years, she worked as the secretary for Iuka High School. After leaving the high school, she worked at Occidental Chemicals. In her free time, Ella Jean enjoyed reading and playing cards and different games. She found great joy in taking care of people. She would often visit with the elderly and children and loved being able to care for them in any way she could. Ella Jean is survived by her siblings, Lola Mae South and Bill Moore (Judy); her nieces and nephews, Robert Moore Jr. (Sheila), Thomas South (Terri), Sandra Warhurst, David South (Teresa), and Philip Moore (Paula); and a host of other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lela Daniel and Robert F. Moore; her brothers, Bobby Moore and Robert L. Moore (Janette), her nephew, Ken Moore, and her brother-in-law, Ray G. South. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, officiated by Rev. Chris Borden. Interment will be in Snowdown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ella Jean’s honor to the Snowdown Methodist Church’s cemetery fund
