Elizabeth Stacey Hillman Chambers, age 90, of Florence, passed away February 12, 2023. A graveside service will be Saturday, February 18 at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens with Kevin Johnson officiating. Williams Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Mrs. Chambers is preceded in death by her parents, George and Inez Porter Hillman; siblings, Elaine Olive, Marie Smith, Frances Mitchell, Leila Rush, and William Hillman.
She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of seventy years, George Chambers. Additional survivors include her sons, Martin Hillman Chambers and George Clifford Chambers; sister, Madeline Bonds (Larry); grandchildren, Dylan Wilson Chambers, Cory Thomas Chambers, Taylor Hillman Chambers, Analise Chambers, and George Hillman Chambers; and great-grandson, Conrad D. Chambers.
Mrs. Chambers was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her children. She served at BSU and was the director for a year, and also taught Sunday school at Woodmont Church. She helped establish the area Christian Women’s Club.
