Elizabeth Russell Davis, 93, of Huntsville, died February 23, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents; six siblings of Kearny, New Jersey; and two beloved husbands: Carl Boyd Ferguson and Robert Taylor Davis of Huntsville.
She is survived by her children, sons-in-law and grandchildren: Cricket and Patrick Wine of Tennessee, Carl Ferguson of Huntsville, Duffy Ferguson and her husband Harvey Barker of Virginia, Brandy Wine of Texas, Lauren Shinnick of South Carolina, Rachel Perez and Cody Lizotte and their families of Virginia.
“Betty” made her career working in Huntsville at Redstone Arsenal. She was able to retire early at age 56 as Chief of Review of Analysis. During her retirement she endlessly provided volunteer services for various community organizations such as Madison/Marshall County chapter of Huntsville Red Cross, Meals On Wheels, Adult Education and various churches. She was awarded Good Day Tennessee Valley Volunteer of the Week in 1995.
She will be remembered for her strength, determination, dedication to family, love of reading, working crossword puzzles and Wheel of Fortune. A gravesite service will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Huntsville Memory Gardens. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family
