  Elizabeth Rogers Hunter passed away at her home, in Fayetteville, TN, on Saturday, July 25, 2020.

Mrs. Hunter was born in Fayetteville, TN to her parents, Robert and Vera Rogers. She attended college at MTSU in Murfreesboro. Elizabeth is the author of five books: Death and Dying, The Twelve Tribes of Israel, Life is a Gift, In Search of God, and Rogers Notes of the Bible. She loved the Lord and would highlight friends and family’s Bibles from Genesis to Revelation for reference, she would complete up to 4 a year. Elizabeth said the Bible was her first love and she taught her children and grandchildren to respect the word of God, and she would radiate that same passion to all those that knew her. Elizabeth was a member at State Line Church of Christ and was also a secretary for the Von Braun Team.

Mrs. Rogers is survived by her children, Carol Hunter Williams, Max Hunter, Susan Hunter, and Mark Hunter (Julie); grandchildren, Robert Williams (Terra), Max Williams (Sera), Libby Taylor (Chris), Sarah McLemore (Trent), Hunter Black, David Black, Katherine Hunter, Sam Hunter, and Andrew Hunter; great grandchildren, Henley and Bowen Williams, Henry Williams, Marian Taylor, Alice Taylor, and Claire Taylor. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Hunter; and infant son, Dwayne Lee.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 27th from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. at State Line Cemetery with Jody Vickery officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests charitable donations may be made to a Christian charity or your favorite charity.
