Elizabeth “Joyce” Dunn, 76, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2026. She was born October 11, 1949 to the late Nelson and Annie Meteer. Joyce retired from the Alcorn School District after many years of dedicated service, where she was known for her kindness and the care she showed to students and coworkers alike. She was a faithful member of Theo Church of Christ. Joyce had a deep love for travel and cherished every opportunity to explore new places and make memories along the way with both friends and family. She adored her pets, who were constant companions and brought her great comfort and joy throughout her life. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family and friends. Those left to honor Joyce’s memory include her siblings, Kathy Meteer, Debbie Street, Mike Meteer and wife Cathy of Corinth, MS, and Barbara Jones and husband Steve of Madison, AL; her nieces and nephews, Sandy Blackard (Steve), Angie Howard (Jeffrey), Eric Street (Amanda), Danielle Woodruff (Chris), Hannah Montgomery (Trevor), Jonathan Street, Joseph Jones, and Stephanie Smith (Cross); her great-nieces and nephews, Chloe Suitor (Jordan), Seth Blackard, Sam Eaton, Jake Eaton, Hannah Owens, Aidan Woodruff, Grayson Woodruff, Taylor Grace Street, Ella Woodruff, Max Owens, Jameson Montgomery, Jackson Street, and Matthew Owens; and numerous other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Billy Dunn; her brother, Danny Meteer; her brother-in-law, Ronnie Street; her great-niece, Allie Woodruff; and her parents, Nelson and Annie Meteer. A private family service was held. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Joyce Dunn.
