Elizabeth Faye Sullivan realized the promises of her lifelong faith in Jesus as her Savior and left her earthly pilgrimage for her eternal home from NMMC-Hospice on Saturday, July 18, 2026. She was 83 years old. Born in Amory on March 17, 1943 to the late George Lindsey and Pearl Outon Clark, she grew up and was educated in the public schools of Monroe Co. She spent her working years as a seamstress first for Amory Garment and retired from Action Industries. A meek, sweet but independent lady who could stand her ground against anyone, Faye was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Okolona where she was a longtime active and faithful member of the Jimmy Kyle Sunday School Class serving as treasurer. She was a lady grounded in her faith who loved tending her yard and flower beds and traveling extensively on cruises. She was able to see much of the world in her travels and loved every minute of it. Always dressed to the 9s, she was a steel magnolia in every sense of the word. Family and friends will miss her warm smile and personality and her generous spirit towards them.
A service celebrating her life will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, July 21, 2026 in the Sanctuary of First Baptist Church-Okolona with her pastor, Rev. Dr. Randy Lewman officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park in Amory. Visitation will begin at the Church at Noon on Tuesday and continue until service time at 2 PM. Faye is survived by her son, Billy Wayne Dykes and wife, Melinda of the Wren Community; her grandchildren, Sean Dykes, Jared Dykes (Jessica), and Joshua Murphy; her great-grandchildren, Cora Dykes, Casyn Dykes and Adalynn Dykes, Audrina Johnson and Jenna Brewer; special friend Jimmy Kyle; her siblings, James Lindsey of Middleton, TN, and Dianne Puckett of Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. Sullivan and her parents.
