Elizabeth Bullington Carter – Obituary

Mrs. Elizabeth Bullington Carter, age 93 of Athens, AL passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Carter was born on August 29, 1924 in Weakley County, TN. to Evart Fuller and Ela Morgan Bullington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Carter; brother, Evart Bullington, Jr. and sister, Inez Norwood.

Mrs. Carter is survived by her daughters June Carter Collins (Ken) and Amelia Kay Holt (Tim); sons, Steven Wade Carter (Wanda) and Tim Carter (Frankie); nine grandchildren, Nathan Collins, Nick Collins, David Carter, Dan Carter, April Carter Kitchen, Luke Carter, Tim Holt, Jr., Tammie Holt Marsh and Robin Carter Wolfe; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, J.H. Bullington, Ed Bullington; Jim Bullington; sisters, Jo Bullington Redding, Mae Bullington Wimberly and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services for Mrs. Carter will be 11:00AM Monday, December 11, 2017 at West Hobbs St. Church of Christ with Bill Irby and Steve Carter officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be the Grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be sons, son-in-law’s and Lions Club members.
