A Celebration of Life for Mother Elizabeth Buford Fletcher, 98, of Madison, will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at Westside M.B. Church with the Reverend Donnie Malone officiating. Inhumation will follow in Decatur City Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to the funeral. Public viewing will be Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Mother Fletcher transitioned into eternal rest on Sunday morning, Sept. 24, 2017, at her residence. She was born April 17, 1919, in Germantown, Tennessee, to the late Will and Lida Thompson Buford.
She leaves to carry her legacy of love to four daughters, Earnestine Fletcher, Peggy Buford-Allen, Jessie Malone, all of Decatur, and Shirley Buford-Vaughn (William), of Trinity; two devoted sons, Larry Fletcher (Delores), of Bell Mina, and Cortez Fletcher (Gloria), of Madison; 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
