Elizabeth Brown Lewis – Obituary

Elizabeth Brown Lewis, 95, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at the Tishomingo Community Living Center. Mrs. Lewis was of the Baptist faith. She loved music, and was affectionately known as “The Singing Lady” at the living center where she resided. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Thursday, February 14, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 15, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Doug Christy. Interment will follow in Snowdown Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include one son, Rev. L. R. Lewis, Jr. and wife, Bertha Jean, of Iuka, MS; one daughter, Shirley Jones of Iuka, MS; six grandchildren, L. R. “Sonny” Lewis, III of Covington, LA, Mary Ann Miller of Covington, LA, John David Lewis of Poplarville, MS, Debra Jean Lewis of Iuka, MS, Junior Jones of Iuka, MS, and Kathy Figueroa of Iuka, MS; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence R. Lewis; her parents, John and Annie Campbell Brown; and twelve brothers and sisters.
