Elizabeth (Betty) Morris Hamilton was born on July 20, 1943, in Birmingham, AL, to Robert Morris and Dennie Mae “DInk” Seale Morris. She died at home on May 21, 2023. She was an artist at heart and in practice, teaching hundreds of students across Marshall County and showing her work across the South. She was a graduate of Ensley High School and Auburn University. Betty loved living in Guntersville near the lake but not as much as she loved trips to the beach since she was a teenager. She collected angel figurines and imagery, and was known locally as a retired, occasional B-Team Angel. She was a loving and devoted sister to and preceded in death by Bobby Morris and Gay Raines. She is survived by her sons Kenneth and Andrew Hamilton, nephew and niece Mike and Kerri Raines, and grand-nephews Eli and Beau Raines. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Mountain Valley Arts Council in Guntersville to celebrate Betty’s love of painting. Funeral Service will be Thurs. May 25, 2023, at 12 PM at Gober Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 11 AM until service time at 12.
