Elizabeth Ann Carter Williamson of Huntsville, formerly of Scottsboro, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025, in Harvest, Alabama after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Bryant Carter; her father, Raymond Carter; and her brother, Donald Raymond Carter. Born in Scottsboro on April 12, 1948, she is survived by her daughter and best friend, Chanda Williamson Trahan; the son she always wanted her son-in-law, Michael Trahan; her beloved grandson, Carter Trahan; sisters from Friendship, Mary Taylor and Peggy Wallace; and numerous cousins, two who were too special not to mention, Carol Muse Evans and Bill Anderson.

Ann was a lifelong elementary teacher and tutor. She was an avid Auburn fan and loved her alma mater. She never missed a football game as long as she had a TV or radio around. Ann was a devout Christian. She leaned on her faith in God throughout her illness and never lost her faith in him. She was formerly a member of Broad Street Church of Christ in Scottsboro and most recently a member of Mayfair Church of Christ in Huntsville. Ann loved to garden and maintained a beautiful yard for all of the years that she was able to do so. She enjoyed time with her family and especially her grandson Carter.

There will be no public service. A private family service will be held at a later date.

In her memory, donations can be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, https://www.lbda.org.
