Elise Sanderson Taylor, age 87, of Huntsville passed away on Wednesday February 19, 2014.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, O. J. Taylor; her parents, W. L. and Bess Sanderson; her brothers, Calvin Sanderson and W. L. Sanderson, Jr. and wife Cortis Cobb Sanderson of Huntsville. She was an active member of Holmes St. United Methodist Church all of her life. Mrs. Taylor held many offices in the United Methodist Women. Elise loved playing bridge and belonged to several bridge clubs.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her daughter, Carol Bess Taylor of Huntsville; her son, Larry Duianne Taylor of Huntsville; her sister, Imogene Renegar of Huntsville; her sister in law, Edna G. Sanderson; her grandchildren, Michelle Elise Underwood of Huntsville, Kevin Brian Underwood and wife Kira of Huntsville, Shannon Keifer and husband David of Ardmore, AL, and Timothy Duianne Taylor of Huntsville; and her great grandson Kaleb.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 22nd at 2pm at the Holmes St. United Methodist Church with Rev. Kelly Clem officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on that day from 12pm until 2pm at the church.
