Eleanor Simms Fink, 89, of Huntsville, passed away 12:15 AM Wednesday September 26, 2018. Born in 1928 in River View Alabama, she lived in Huntsville since the 1950’s with her husband, Robert H. Fink, who worked as an engineer at Redstone Army Missile Command. Eleanor received a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of North Carolina and Greensboro College. She most notably taught under-privileged children at Lincoln Elementary School. Eleanor, an independent minded woman, had many hobbies including writing, poetry, art, and music. She is survived by her two sons, Mark, and Keith.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Coy Hallmark officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
