Eleanor Janett Suggs Michael was born March 12, 1929 in Chewalla, TN the daughter of the late Ethridge Franklin Suggs and Thelma Rosie Etta Srygley Suggs.
Eleanor was a member of Chewalla Baptist Church and attended regularly as long as she was able. She married the father of her daughter, Erby Callins who preceded her in death on October 3, 1991. She married Alfred “Mike” Michael on July 19, 1994, Alfred preceded her in death on June 4, 2014.
Mrs. Michael departed this life on May 3, 2025 in Guys, Tennessee at the age of 96 Years, 1 Month, 21 Days. Her life was a tapestry of joy and blessings, and she will be fondly remembered for her kindness, her unwavering faith, and her love for family and friends. “I lived a happy and blessed life.”
She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Flatt of Guys, TN; a grandchild, Tiffany Underwood and husband Kevin of Guys, TN; two great grandchildren, Harley Hall and Emberly Underwood; a sister, Jean Crewes of IN; two brothers, Clay Suggs and wife Sue of KY, Maurice Suggs of Selmer, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands and parents, Mrs. Michael was preceded in death by a great grandchild, Christopher Hall; and a brother, Arnold Lee Suggs.
