Funeral service for Eldora Roberts Maples, 85, will be Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Shoal Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Bass, Rev. Joe Nuss and Bro. Harold Maples officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Her body will lie in state at the Church for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Shoal Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Maples died on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Decatur Health & Rehab Center. She was born November 1, 1931, in Lauderdale County to Otto Edgar Roberts and Ella Maude Tucker Roberts. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years: Lewis Carroll Maples, one brother and three sisters.
