In 1972, he graduated form Southwest Baptist University of Oliver Missouri, with a BS in Business Administration. He spent most of his business career doing cost analysis for large construction companies such as Bechtel Power Corporation, and in the space and technology industry such as NASA. He was a longtime member and active worker of Wall Highway Baptist church.
Eldon was proceeded in death by his parents, Floyd and Catherine; nephew, Jack Meijer; brother Floyd G; younger sister Rita Meijer; brother in law Sam Conner.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Marie; sister Evenelle Conner; sister Edna Gilleland; brother in law Cliff Gilleland; brother in law Jack Meijer; children Amanda Giarth, Elyse Esparaza, Rebekah Clemons; 6 grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation and services will be held at Legacy Chapel, 16 Hughes Rd, Madison, AL 35758, on Thursday, August 31, 2023. Visitation will be held at 2pm, with a service from 2:30-3:00pm.
