Funeral service for Elaine (Dotson) Smith, age 68, of Trinity, will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Israel Milligan and Bro. Chris Smith officiating. Mrs. Smith, who died Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born March 12, 1958, in Alabama to James “Piggy” Dotson and Virginia Bishop Dotson. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerry Dotson; two sisters, Margo Dotson and Betty Ann Underwood; and great-grandchild, Asher Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Smith; son, Christopher Smith (Tina); sister, Janice Alexander; two grandchildren, Nicholas Smith (Kellee) and Heather Smith (John); and great-grandchild, Kase Tyler Smith.
Pallbearers will be Nicholas Smith, John Harville, Walter Louallen, Cody McGuire, Tim McGuire, and Andy Louallen.
