Elaine Rose Machado Huber died after a brief illness on October 19, 2025, in Huntsville, Alabama. She was born on December 2, 1946, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Violet Henrietta Machado (née Chaplain) and James Frank Machado, who both preceded her in death.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Harold J. Huber Jr.; her daughters, Heather Huber and Paige Reichert (Wynn); and her grandson, Joseph Tarquine (Alexia). Elaine adored her many pet dogs over the years and leaves behind her precious dachshund, Gracie.

Elaine was known for her beautiful crochet and needlework skills, her talents as an accomplished seamstress, and her opulent Christmas decorations.

A visitation and memorial mass will be held on Monday, October 27, at 9 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 625 Airport Road in Huntsville, followed by interment at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
