Elaine Patterson, 77 of Lester, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at home. Mrs. Patterson was born July 23, 1942 to William Howard Cowan and Jessie Mae Carwile Cowan.
Due to the State Health Order there will be a private graveside service for Mrs. Patterson. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery with Larry Bullington officiating.
She loved her grandchildren and her great grandson and going to their sporting events. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Patterson was an RN. She also loved crossword puzzles, word searches, coffee and giving hugs.
She is survived by her daughters, Kim Patterson, Karen Abernathy (Anthony) and Tara Jackson; son, Jimmy Patterson; grandchildren, Jake Abernathy, Cody Farr and Chloe Jackson; great grandson, Skyler Adams; sister, Paulette Clark (Earl).
Preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Jessica Braithwaite; brother, Ed Cowan; sister, June Fetters.
Pallbearers are Scott Green, Wade Legg, Jake Abernathy, Anthony Abernathy, Jordan McKleroy, Gary McKleroy, Russ Gant, Travis Persell and Lucas Kellum.
