Funeral service for Mrs. Elaine H. Green Hinds, age 78, of Fayetteville, will be conducted Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Kirkland Cemetery beside her late husband James B. Green. Mrs. Hinds passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Mrs. Hinds was a native of Ardmore, AL, the daughter of the late Gracie Ellis and Howard Holman. She worked for Genesco for 20 years and retired from Highland Rim School where she loved working in the school cafeteria. She was a member of the New Life Heart to Heart Church.
Survivors include her daughter Lessia (Tommy) Roberts of Muscle Shoals, AL, sons Edward Green and Alex (Sabrina) Green both of Fayetteville, step-children David Hinds of Cartersville, GA, Bob Hinds of Fayetteville, Roseanna Forsyth of Placentia, CA, grandchildren Tabitha Floyd, Jonathan Roberts, Ruth Holmes, Hannah Roberts and Dylan Green and 6 great grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, Mrs. Hinds was preceded by her second husband James Hinds, Sr.
Visitation with the family will be Monday, September 21, 2015 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
