Elaine Glasgow – Obituary

Elaine Glasgow, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 8, 2017 while surrounded by her loving family. Born on Jan. 3, 1937, to the late Charles and Ella Blackburn, Elaine was raised on a farm in southwest Iowa. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert; son, Kirk; granddaughter, Lacey and brother, Maurice.

Life was enjoyed to the fullest through traveling, friendships, music, quilting, sewing, volunteering and being involved at Indian River City United Methodist Church. Most of all she enjoyed her 58 years as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all she knew.

Elaine will be greatly missed by her sons, Robert Kevin (Denise), Charles Kent (Cynde) and Karl Edward (Susan); nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Karen (Sonny) Cox and Peggy Blackburn-Morales; sister-in-law, Ellen Blackburn and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life memorial service was held Thursday, April 13, 2017, at IRCUMC, Titusville, Florida, at 11 a.m. Condolences may be shared at www.northbrevardfuneralhome.com. An Iowa service and burial will be scheduled for early June. Condolences may also be left at www.marshallfuneral.com, Tabor, Iowa.
