Funeral services for Elaine Casey Waters, age 64 of Millerville, Al will be held on Monday, August 6, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland with Brother Jimmy Nelson officiating.
Elaine was born September 26, 1953 in Talladega, Alabama to Roy Leonard Casey Sr. and Gladys Naomi Sewell Casey. She passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at her home surrounded by her husband of 27 years, George “Woody” Waters, as well as many loving family members and several wonderful friends. Elaine was a native of Talladega, a graduate of Talladega High School and was employed as a seamstress for many years by the Russell Mill Corporation. She was of the Baptist faith and had worked in the retail business for several years. Elaine was an extremely talented cake baker and she truly loved little children.
She is survived by her husband, George Woodson “Woody” Waters of Millerville; one daughter, Becky Goodwin of Talladega, four sons: Stevie Waters (Teri) of Talladega, Johnny Goodwin of Talladega, Christopher Smith of Millerville and Johnathan Smith of Millerville; five siblings: Leonard Casey Jr. of Talladega, Connie Guyther of Talladega, Kathy Nunis (Donald) of Talladega, Tinnie Pitts (Jerry) of Talladega and Michael Casey (Sheila) of Talladega; three sisters-in-law: Dianna Gregg of Millerville, Nancy Waters of Alexander City and Carolyn Conner (Bill) of Vincent; one brother-in-law, Jimmy Waters (Kay) of Palm Coast, FL; six grandchildren: Peyton Waters (Jacob), Honey Brook Waters, Izzy Waters, Rhett Waters and Johnny Goodwin Jr., all of Talladega; four extended family children: Justin, Kayla, Ashley and Ethan Jackson, all of Millerville plus numerous nieces, nephews, beloved family and friends.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents: Roy Leonard Casey Sr. and Gladys Naomi Sewell Casey; two brothers: Don Casey and Wayne Casey; one granddaughter, Beckie Rena Carden.
