Elaine Anna Laney, 81, died Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Region One Health Center in Memphis, TN due to injuries received from a house fire. Elaine was born in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada on May 17, 1943 to the late Willie and Steafca Spence. She married Manfred Laumen who was discharged from the Merchant Marines. They moved to Ohio, then California and then Nevada. Manfred died on April 30, 1980. After his passing she later re-married to Dwight Laney. After his retirement from the Navy they settled in Nettleton, MS. Elaine’s greatest joy was raising her children and being a Homemaker. Elaine was proud to be a housewife.
Elaine is survived by her children, William Laumen, Robert Laumen, Michael Laumen and Heidi Laumen. She was proceeded in death by her two husbands and two sons, Manfred Spence and Christopher Laumen. She leaves behind Family, Friends and many Grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
There will be no local service to honor the request of Elaine. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to serve their friends.
