MORGAN COUNTY-The Morgan County Drug Task Force and the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department arrested eight suspects from October 16 through October 22.
On October 16 investigators tried to make an arrest on Bobby William Whitaker, Jr on charges of possession of heroin. upon arrival at the residence in Lacey Springs agents found a female overdosed on heroin and the suspect fled from the scene.
Investigators at this time arrested two suspects, Nichole Whitaker, 23 and Terry Davis, 41 on Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance charges.
On the 18th of October acting on a tip officers attempted to arrest Whitaker at a home on Lower Dry Creek Road. Whitaker escaped into a wooded area. “ICE” and methamphetamine was found in the home. arrests were made at this time, Sarah Cross, 36 and Daniel Price, 28 were arrested for UNlawful Possession of A Controlled Substance.
On October 22, deputies again received information on the location of Whitaker and returned to a home on Lower Dry Creek Road where they located Daniel Payne, 23,along with Jessica Nicole Whitaker, 23 and Bobby Whitaker, Jr., 38 along with quantities of “ICE”, meth and cocaine were found hidden in a bedroom where Jessica and Bobby Whitaker were found.
Once again received information on Whitaker’s whereabouts. Officers went to a home on Lower Dry Creek Road where they found Kevin Daniel Payne, 23, Bobby Whitaker Jr., 38, and Jessica Nicole Whitaker, 23. At the home agents found “ICE” methamphetamine as well as cocaine hidden in a bedroom where Bobby and Jessica Whitaker were found.
Payne was arrested for Unlawful Possession Of A Controlled Substance and Bobby and Jessica Whitaker were both arrested on two counts of Unlawful Possession Of A Controlled Substance.
Also on October 22, agents with the Drug Task Force Agents began executing distribution warrants on October 22. Tammy Jones, 51, and Tommy Carver, 51, both were arrested at this time for Unlawful Distribution Of Prescription Medication, bond has been set at $15,000 for both.
Investigation by the Morgan county Drug Task Force continues and more arrests are expected as warrants are executed in the next few weeks.
