Effie South was born May 12, 1923 in McNairy County, TN, the daughter of Joe and Pearl Killingsworth. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Michie, Tennessee. Dancing was a passion for Effie, as well as her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Mrs. South departed this life on October 7, 2022 in Michie, Tennessee at the age of 99 Years, 4 Months, 25 Days.
She is survived by three daughters: Wanda McKee, Pam South, Robin Hopkins; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren.
Mrs. South was preceded in death by her husband, Harris South; son, James Orville South; infant son, Willie Joe South; a daughter, Edna Wilson; a grandchild, Stacey Wilson.
