Edwin Wade Martin, age 72, of Russellville, passed away on August 20, 2023 at Helen Keller Hospital following an extended illness.
Wade was a retired machinist with Reynolds Metals, where he worked for 34 years. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a loving Husband, Father and PawPaw. His granddaughter, Alison, thought of him as her best friend. He was an avid hunter and passed it on to all of his children. He also loved being a dog trader and trainer. He trained his feists to hunt squirrel. He had customers asking for his breed and bloodline.
Wade is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sherrie Pasley Martin; children, Matt Martin (Tara), David Martin (Leanne), Holly Brooks (Adrian); grandchildren, Alison Martin, Ty Martin, Destin Martin, Colton Martin; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends that will miss Wade and his energetic personality.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Tincy Martin; sister,
Flinda Pace; brother, Larry Martin and granddaughter,Caitlyn Martin.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from noon – 2pm with the funeral following at 2pm in the Chapel of Pinkard Funeral Home of Russellville. Interment will be in Masterson Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Roger Clement, Dwain Clement, Rickey Waldrep, Jerry Smith, Lee Hinton and DeWayne Warhurst. Bro. Keith Prince and Bro. Chris Miller will officiate.
Pinkard Funeral Home of Russellville will assist the family.
