Edwin Lee “Ed” Brown, 90, of Ardmore, TN, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023, at his home.
Ed moved to this area in the early 60’s coming from Pontiac, Michigan. He owned and operated Browns Sheet Metal until retirement in 1991. Mr. Brown especially loved his cows and goats that he cared for on his farm. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret Wilcox, wife Gayla Hasting Brown; two sons, Eddie Brown, Jr. and Gregory Brown and one granddaughter Carson Brown.
Survivors include daughters Brenda Brown Pate of Toney, AL and Nancy Roseanna-Brown Brady of Petoskey, MI; grandchildren Gregory Alan Brown, Jr., Brigette Sheree Bishop, Sean Edwin Cameron, Audrey Kirby, Brian Adams, Dean Adams and Kathryn Adams, as well as 14 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held for Mr. Brown on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 2:00 at Gatlin Cemetery with Rev. Alan Brown officiating. Pallbearers will be Charlie Horton, Jason Bishop, Eddie Fralix, Phillip Mitchell, Curtis Mitchell and Dustin Ballenger.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
