Mr. Edwin Burton Burgett, age 75, of Union Grove passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Marshall Medical Center North.
Mr. Burgett was born on July 22, 1942 in Marshall County, Alabama to James Burton Burgett & Vera Lee Griggs Burgett. He retired from Apac Construction. Edwin enjoyed fish fry’s, bluegrass music, gardening, truck farming & produce, enjoying time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Joan Burgett; sons and daughter-in-laws, Edwin Lawayne Burgett, James Darren Burgett & Kimberly, Christopher Heath Burgett & Charity Tillman; daughters and son-in-laws, Teresa Joan Mears & Tim, Deborah Ann Cason & Ray, Pamela Darlene Bridges and Dynell; brother & sister-in-law, James Elton Burgett & Brenda; sisters & brother-in-law, Maxine Johnson & Gail, Glenda King; 19 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 1 grandchild and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jr. Plunkett, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers include: Ray Cason, David Mabrey, Tim Mears, Derrick Burgett, Michael Burgett & Jared Moses. Honorary Pallbearers; Tyler Bridges & Zachery Bridges.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. Wednesday 21, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
