Edward Oscar Goforth, age 82, of Jasper, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at his residence.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, November 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Walker Memory Gardens. John Gates, Zac Goforth and Mike Goforth will officiate.
Mr. Goforth was preceded in death by his Wife and mother of his children-Dorothy Goforth; Wife-Loavell Goforth; Father-William J. Goforth; Mother-Maymie Goforth; Brother-William “Billy” Goforth; Step Daughters-Shelia Barton and Sharon Oswalt; Grandsons-Daniel Goforth and Joshua Goforth; Grandson-in-law-Paul Marin.
He is survived by his Daughters-Glenda Duncan (Dennis) of Jasper, AL and Darlene Jennings (Darrell) of Coosada, AL; Sons-Michael Goforth (Donna) of Boaz, AL, Carl Goforth (Robin) of Jasper, AL and Alan Goforth (Tracie) of Winfield, AL; Sisters-Doris Yeary of Melbourne, FL, Hazel Bryant of Ooltewah, TN, Mary Murphree of Ringgold, GA and Janice Leonard of Ringgold, GA; Brother-Willis Goforth of Chattanooga, TN; Grandchildren-Stacey Duncan Junkin, Kimberly Duncan Grace, Deidra Duncan Parnell, Heather Goforth, Zac Goforth, Holly Goforth Marin, Jake Goforth, Alex Goforth, Riley Goforth, Allison Goforth, Lauren Goforth, Nathan Goforth, Regan Jennings, Bailey Jennings, Kendall Jennings and Dewayne Barton; 12 Great Grandchildren.
